On July 23, 2006 I will wait anxiously for the cannon to sound at Ironman Lake Placid. For my first triathlon three years ago I decided to raise money for the PolioPlus foundation through Rotary International. It seemed fitting that for my first Ironman that I use it as a fundraising opportunity. My company has sponsered a new home for a deserving family through Southeast New Hampshire Habitat for Humanity. Our goal is to raise $60,000 and I plan to use the IM Lake Placid Janus Charity Challenge as a vehicle to raise the money. I will be using this forum to document not only the road to my first Ironman but also to allow those interested to follow our fundraising progress.
